Ingredients

This part will be short because Naturize contains only 100% natural premium quality brown rice protein powder.

This is a complete brown rice protein powder that has been produced through a special process from the whole brown rice grain after its sprouting- it’ s not more, it’s not less. We need 12 kg brown rice to produce 1 kg rice protein powder which doesn’t contain additives, colouring, chemicals or preservatives. It doesn’t contain any allergic materials, either like milk, whey, soy, egg or any animal-based proteins.

It’s 100% free of gluten and aspartam, 100% natural and 100% vegan.

Average nutritional values (for 100g):

protein: min. 80g

carbohydrates: 3.9g (1.3g sugar out of this)

fat: 2g (0.7g saturated fat out of this)

Kcal: 366

Each portion contains a guaranteed minimum of 80% pure and complete protein, 4g glutamine and 4g BCAA (in a 30g portion) in absolutely natural form (meaning no subsequently added, synthetic amino acids), a minimal amount of fat and carbohydrates and zero cholesterol. These are certified values that were tested in Hungarian labs.

The latest Hungarian test results have also proved that Naturize is completely free of GMO ingredients and all stimulants (besides being free of chemicals, additives, flavouring and sweeteners), which is very important for top sportspeople.

As Naturize only contains brown rice protein powder that is of vegetable origin, differences might occur in colour or even taste according to the different environmental circumstances that influenced the growth of the plant (like different amount of rain or sunshine) or according to the timing of its picking, etc. In case of many other products the unchanging appearance is reached by additives and colouring, while the taste is modified with a significant amount of sweeteners or flavouring – fortunately, Naturize products are completely free of all such ingredients.

Naturize products are continuously tested at home, too so that we can always guarantee an 80% protein content, a complete amino acid profile and a fully hypoallergenic nature.

You can read more about recommended amounts of protein here and details about when to use it here.

In case of vegetables their phytic acid content is usually a problem, too.

In foods, the amount of phytic acid is normally between 0.2 and 1.7g/100g. It’s higher in beans (1.6, 1.7g), for example, but it still doesn’t have any negative consequences. It’s advisable to limit its consumption when the amount goes over 6-8g or when allergy appears, but this amount can only be found in a few vegetables.

The phytic acid content of Naturize is only 0.79g/ 100g, so it’s really negligible. Brown rice protein is an excellent choice because it’s absolutely hypoallergenic, i.e. it causes no allergic reactions, so anyone can use it. It might be a persuasive argument if we tell you that the protein content of baby formulas is usually rice protein, too to make them hypoallergenic and similar to breast milk because of their complete amino acid profile.

What’s Naturize taste like?

If we know that this product is natural, free of flavouring, sweeteners and additives, we’ll certainly not think it’s a “taste explosion”. However, Naturize® brown rice protein is quite neutral in taste, maybe the most agreeable out of the unsweetened proteins. As our greatest concern is the naturalness of the product, our first choice is the completely unmodified version that is free of flavouring and sweeteners. People don’t consume nutritional supplements for their taste, and in case of protein intake the content is much more important than taste. Moreover, you can vary a completely natural product much more easily by flavouring it with anything you like. You can drink it with water, sweeten it with honey, cocoa or cinnamon, mix it with rice drink, oat drink, hazelnut drink, fruit juice or any fruit (banana, strawberry, cranberry, blackberry), but you can even put it into your pizza or pancake dough – the truth is you have an unlimited choice of variations.

While you’re already thinking about the ways of flavouring, never forget: in case of protein powders make compromises in taste if you must but never in the content!

Of course, if you’re already used to the over-sweetened taste of whey protein powders, you might find the natural taste empty at first, but you’ll see that you’ll take to it in one or two weeks. The more natural a taste is, the more difficult it is to get fed up with it.

The other thing that can be unusual after the additive-full protein powders might be the more grainy, natural substance that is due to the higher content of fibres and minerals in brown rice protein. However, this is a positive thing biologically, because fibres support the working of the intestines thus making protein move faster instead of rottening in the intestines, which is one of the many reasons why whey proteins cause bloating. However, fibres cannot melt in water the same way as sugar, that’s why brown rice protein can sink to the bottom of your shake easily after some minutes. We could easily change this substance with the help of additives and stabilizers (as other products do) but luckily, Naturize doesn’t contain such ingredients.

The advantages of the unflavoured, natural taste are the following:

  • you can use it in versatile ways: flavour it to your taste, add it to both salty and sweet food. Click here for the best flavouring tips!
  • you won’t get bored with the taste
  • it has the highest protein content this way because otherwise all other ingredients would just replace the protein
  • it mixes easily, it doesn’t get uneven, you don’t need a shaker to mix it with a glass of water

What do most popular protein powders contain?

Let’s look at the list of ingredients in a popular whey protein powder:

Protein Matrix Comprised Of (Whey Protein Concentrate [Milk], Whey Protein Isolate [Milk], Calcium Caseinate [Milk], Micellar Casein [Milk], Milk Protein Isolate [Milk], And Egg Albumin [Egg]), Glutamine Peptides [Wheat], Richmix Sunflower Powder Consisting Of (Sunflower Oil, Corn Syrup Solids, Sodium Caseinate [Milk], Mono- & Diglycerides, Dipotassium Phosphate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Lecithin [Soy], And Tocopherols), Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder, Polydextrose, Natural & Artificial Flavors [Soy & Milk], Nutrisperse MCT Powder Consisting Of (Medium Chain Triglycerides, Non-Fat Dry Milk, Disodium Phosphate, And Silicon Dioxide), Cellulose Gum, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium, A²Zorb (Papain And Bromelain).

Surely all of them are in there with some purpose or other but don’t you think it’s a bit too much of everything? Can you really check all these ingredients? It’s no wonder that you’ve been afraid of such lists and these are only the ingredients the company says are in the product.

Naturally they are all considered to be harmless to your health, other wise they couldn’t be in the product, could they? However, one thing is sure, namely that it has never done anybody any harm not to use sweeteners, stabilizers, improvers and flavor enhancers.

Besides, using too much of sweeteners does have negative effects and most of these products are sweetened with sucralose or stevia (some with aspartam) and not just a little. Unless you are a professional body builder, you should think twice about using all these wonder ingredients. If you still choose a whey protein product, read into the topic carefully and choose only the most reliable brand!

The consumption of Naturize® doesn’t replace a balanced and varied diet! The consumption of Naturize® helps supplement the protein need of the human body, it’s not suitable for curing illnesses. Although Naturize® doesn’t contain allergenic and artificial ingredients and you can use it safely, if you have any health problems, sensitivities or doubts, consult with your doctor before using it.
